Not long ago, at the construction site of the newly built Fuzhou-Xiamen North Railway Station, with the smooth laying of the last set of *00-meter-long rails, China’s first cross-sea high-speed railway was completed. This is the world's highest speed cross-sea railway. It has crossed three bays including Meizhou Bay, Quanzhou Bay and Anhai Bay . According to information, this first cross-sea high-speed railway is expected to open in 202*. After the railway is completed and opened to public, the travel time between Fuzhou and Xiamen will be reduced to less than one hour, forming a "one-hour life circle" between the two cities.
